Update:

If you are having problems generating your Crystal Code through Synapse 2.0, try uninstalling then reinstalling the program. It should work after.

There is a known issue with the mouse not keeping its settings in wireless mode, and we are working on an update to this in the drivers.

A quick workaround for this would be to make all settings in wired mode.

Regarding the Headset code generation, we found an issue with the detection of the serial numbers in the headsets, causing an error when generating the code. This is being worked on and the fix will be patched in to Synapse 2.0 soon.

Today we sit down with one of the veterans of the Mousesports female CS team, Lana “Svetaska” Alexeeva to find out what makes her girls tick, what she likes about this year’s competition and what they do in their free time. Jump right in.

Razer: Hello Lana! Tell us about your time in Paris so far.

Lana: Hi, it’s always nice to be in France. We’ve been here 5 times already and coming for the ESWC is always nice. However, this year, it feels a little bit enclosed. This year it feels like a private party with things being in the hotel convention hall. Usually we like the bigger atmosphere where fans come and cheer for us. It feels really good that way. We feed off the fans’ energy but this year, not so much of that kind of environment.

Razer: What about your performances this year?

Lana: We’re a little down as we only got 4th place; we lost to Millenium from France who surprised us this time with how good they were. It was close and fair play to them but we will come back stronger for sure.

Razer: That’s the spirit! Let’s talk about your team’s activities. Since not all of your teammates live in Moscow, how do you girls train together?

Lana: We try to squeeze in 4-6 hours of training, 5-6 days a week. Since we don’t stay close, we have to train through the internet but we have good sponsors here as well to help us with the potentially high ping levels. Most of the time we play against guys in Russia because we can’t find many good female CS teams here.

Razer: How do you keep up with this gaming career on top of whatever you’re working on full-time in Russia?

Lana: Some of us are studying or working. We try our best to be honest. But for me, I’m training full time to be the best around in CS.

Razer: So how do you girls keep the team spirit going?

Lana: We try go meet once every 2 weeks for those of us who live in Moscow. We stay over, play some CS, but we’re actually just like any normal girls. We go out to eat and drink together and of course, shopping!

Razer: Sounds like girls to me. Well what are your future plans for your team? There have been rumours that the e-Sports scene is shifting to CS:Source very soon.

Lana: Yeah we heard things like that but I would rather play CS 1.6. The community is still strong and as long as there are competitions for 1.6, we’ll be there. We’ll take things one at a time but if everything moves to CSS, well…… we’ll see.

Razer: Well said Lana. Thank you for your time and we wish you all the best.
