Namaste! Just over a week ago, the grand finals of the ESWC Finals were held in a sleepy resort in Goa, India and what an experience!
Pro gamers from all over the country turned up and battled for 3 days and 3 nights non-stop to be crowned the grand champions and we(the Razer team) were there to witness it all. It was a warm and humid affair as temperatures surged to 40 degrees in the daytime and trust us, when there’s more than 40 folks crammed into a gaming arena, it gets really, really hot.
Pro Gamers representing their cities came from all around, many of whom were from Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkatta, Bangalore, Abraedabad, Hyderabad, Goa and more. Some gamers had traveled more than 40 hours by train and it was a pretty amazing site to see all of them hanging it out at the Palmarinha Resort.
Games that were played were CS 1.6, DotA, Streetfighter IV, COD, Trackmania Nations and Fifa 2010.

Organizer - Yogesh giving a short speech at the opening ceremony.

There was a story involved in the dance. Something about gamers loving LAN parties or something similiar.
Pro gamers from various teams were also representing their cities and states and had various flags to represent their locale.
We had teams like AGP,

And a Portuguese themed dance was done. Quick Fact - Goa was once ruled by the Portuguese for over 450 years.

The event officially opened with some pretty awesome crackers and fireworks. (yes real fireworks - unfortunately not shown)

Things got serious when someone came out of the crowd and started swinging fireballs at everyone. It was later that we realized that was a professional fire juggler, and not a Super Mario impersonator.

Yogesh giving his team official instructions to set the gravity to ultra low for the CS players. We think he has a quite a sense of humor.

Aproova - a young and shy lady, the only female progamer who was kicking ass at the COD ladder - who also happened to be using the Razer Megalodon Gaming headset.
