I’ve had my Razer DeathAdder for a good 3 years now. It was a birthday present from some friends and tearing it out from the electronic store’s plastic bag that it came in (my friends didn’t get it wrapped because they are cheap environmentally aware) had me squealing grunting like a girl man with a new Barbie doll G.I. Joe – One less obstacle between me and the mountain of frags to come!
We, at Razer, love the DeathAdder so after 3 years of outstanding service, we’ve decided that this gaming veteran deserves newfound firepower to keep up with the new bloods and we’re proud to introduce a new 3500dpi Razer Precision™ 3.5G infrared sensor in the DeathAdder. Its greater precision closes the gap between your cursor and your opponents’ heads for more frags; and spots the same familiar form factor for intense and extended gaming sessions – great for taking out zombies in Left 4 Dead and trigger happy colleagues after they shoot me. And of course, never forget to follow up with a courteous, doe-eyed reply of “Oh, I was aiming for the zombie. Didn’t realize it was you”.
And as with any new mouse that comes by my way, the staple of Counter-Strike is a must-play. Counter-Strike is one of my personal classics. I shoot terrorists in my free time at home and at work, it’s my sandbox for testing out new gaming mice and mouse mats. I’m a low sensitivity gamer and the new DeathAdder was able to deliver precision even under my low sensitivity. I swipe a lot to cover longer distances in game and the DeathAdder handled tracking under high acceleration really well with no skipping. And it’s exactly this kind of reliability and precision that makes it a fantastic gaming mouse. A good gaming mouse is one that allows me to fully concentrate on my game and not have even the slightest worry that the bloody thing may not track properly or will lose tracking when I swipe the mouse for that critical AWP shot… and if I missed, at least I’m not pointing in the air like an idiot.
Everyone loves braided cables these days because it tangles less. We had it in the Razer Mamba and the Razer Carcharias and with many reviews giving us the thumbs up, it’s now in our new DeathAdder!
And while we’re on the DeathAdder, here’s a nice photo of all the limited editions we’ve made for gaming partners over the years. In the meantime, the new Razer DeathAdder is available at our online store starting 22 Sep for USD $59.99.
Good Gaming!
