Razer Mamba Questions

Seems there are quite a few questions about the Mamba still floating around. As promised below, we will attempt to answer them.

Few quick facts:
*The Mamba is both a wired and wireless mouse. When the cable is plugged in, it is both charging the battery AND pushing data through the cable. If the cable is in, it is a fully functioning wired mouse in every sense of the word.
*The battery is easily removable. The Mamba can be used without a battery as long as it is in wired mode. Its weight is 109g without the battery
*That glowing pedestal you see in the video is the charging station. You can place the Mamba on the charging station to charge when it is in wireless mode.

    Is the charging station the receiver for the mouse when it is in wireless mode? That would be a bit annoying to carry around.
    What would be awesome is if the receiver was actually a dongle that can be placed into a slot like Logitech’s VX Rev but into the charging station. And for portability you can remove the dongle and just carry that around!
    Hopefully that wouldnt have a affect on the performance!
    But what would I know? haha :)

    Any chance you’ll have alternate colors? I really dug the black base/orange glow of the Guild Wars Death Adder, without the Guild Wars logo.

    An orange/black Mamba would be a beautiful thing.

    1) Will the mamba have prediction/correction as the deathadder?
    2) What will the max perfect control tracking rate be for the mamba?
    (I read it says 200ips but I believe that is full speed before the sensor completely fails to track anymore. What I’m asking is at what speed will the movements remain accurate to the distance traveled)
    3) Can I buy one early for review purposes? :)

    Shaun about ur Qns i too live in singapore and not too long ago i went to city hall , funan “i think i spelled that right” anyway from asking a computer shop there i heard that its coming in the late march and if u were to put it in singapore notes if i remember its 1.5% it will cost about S$194++ , oh yea to all singaporens so far the cheapest lachesis mouse I could find was S$108 at city hall , funan “again i think i spelled that worng” but anyway the shop is called CH-computer shop if i remember “if anyone can find a cheaper price pls e-mail me about it on lo_li_pops@hotmail.com pls coz am only 16 and i want to get my mamba and my traantula keyboard + my… destrutor at the lowest cost i can find so pls do help me thx

    Is there any way to get another smaller and more convinent receiver for this thing? I mean it looks really bulky, especially for us laptop gamers who are on the go. Draggin the base to a lan party seems dumb.. I would pay extra for a small receiver.

    Why doesn’t the Mamba 2K12 get Synapse 2.0? I mean, it was built with the future in mind [given the name] surely it should be getting the same features?

    You will have to have the latest driver [for simplicities sake.] for the Mamba. 

    Go open it in your command tray [the small icons in the botton right of your screen - to the left of the time.] You may need to press the little up-facing icon. There, you’ll find the razer symbol, mouse over it and check for ‘Mamba’ If you get this, double click. 
    Once open, go to lighting and power 

    Choose your favourite colour or choose Spectrum Cycling. Note that spectrum cycling will go to most colours, it is possible this may effect battery life [Also possible it won't but there's always the chance.]

    I did not know you could use the Mamba in wired mode with the battery removed. You can do this with a certain other wireless gaming mouse, but if it detects there’s no battery present, there’s a red light that flashes. Does the Mamba do something similar? If not, I was all set to go out get pick up a Naga, but with this new information, I might have to reconsider.
