Lord British’s Space Odyssey

We have now reached our half way point for our charity drive to support Richard Garriott and his trip to space. If you have not posted a comment yet on the charity page (link below), please get over there and do so.

Every comment equals a donation to the Challanger Learning Center. So far the turn out has been pretty strong but we can do better. Tell your friends and pass this link around. To say thanks, we will be giving away Razer product signed by Lord British himself as well 20 pairs of the new Razer Moray inear earphones. Your comment raises money for charity AND gets you entered to win free stuff; it’s a win/win.

Razer will provide an avenue for the public to send their well-wishes to Richard via the Razer website at lordbritish.razerzone.com between October 1 – 12, 2008. For each message, Razer will donate a quarter of a dollar to the Challenger Learning Center, which seeks to enhance space education for children. From the posts, three winners will be picked randomly to receive a limited set of a Razer Lachesis and a Razer Destructor each, personally autographed by Richard. Twenty winners will also each receive a Razer Moray, Razer’s newly launched in-ear noise canceling gaming earphone.

Richard Garriott also goes by the pseudonym “Lord British” and is synonymous with creating the longest running RPG series, Ultima, which was produced since the 1980s. Richard’s place in video gaming history was sealed with the creation of Ultima Online, the first large scale commercial “massively multi-player online game” (MMOG), outsold all previous versions of the Ultima series by ten-fold, and still remains a best seller today.
